The city of Barcelona is in Spain. Barcelona with all its glory is the capital to the country and is the largest city of the autonomous community of catalonia. It is also honoured for being the second most populous municipality of Spain. The beautiful city is home to about 4.8 million people and is known for its hospitality in Europe. Barcelona is one among the largest metropolises on the Mediterranean Sea located on the coast between the mouths of the rivers Llobregat and Besos, and bounded by Serra de Coserola mountain range, the tallest peak and is as high as 512 metres.

Barcelona is one of the world’s leading tourist, economic, trade fair and cultural centres, and its influence on commerce, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science and the arts all contribute to its status as one of the world’s major global cities. Barcelona is a major cultural and economic centre in southwestern Europe, 24^th in the world and a financial centre in southwestern Europe. In 2009, the city was ranked third in Europe and one of the most successful in the world as a city brand. In the same year, the city was ranked fourth best city in Europe for business and fastest improving European city, with growth improving by 17%per year.
